Register for a Middle or High School Admissions Event
At the International School of Los Angeles’s Burbank campus, middle and high school students pursue the French Baccalaureate (FB) or International Baccalaureate (IB) – two of the world’s most respected academic programs. In a multilingual, international community, our students are challenged to think critically, lead with empathy and thrive anywhere in the world. LILA graduates stand out for their confidence, adaptability, and global perspective.
Where Global Citizens Take Shape
Bilingual, International, and IB
From preschool to high school, LILA offers a rigorous, globally focused education across every stage of learning in our four campuses: Los Feliz, Pasadena, West Valley, and Burbank.
Burbank Campus
Middle School (6th-8th grades)
Starting in 6th grade, students begin the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP), developing critical thinking, collaboration, and a global perspective. Our dual-language environment supports deep engagement in both French and English, empowering students to navigate complexity with confidence.
In 9th-12th grades, students pursue the English-language IB Diploma Programme or the French Baccalaureate. This internationally recognized curriculum challenges learners to think independently, lead with empathy, and engage with real-world issues – all while preparing for admission to top universities around the world.
Young learners begin their educational journey in a full French immersion setting with a balance of exploration, inquiry and foundational academic skills. With a caring approach and an early focus on language, Elementary School students build confidence, curiosity, and bilingual fluency, setting the stage for lifelong learning.
Students discover their passions, develop their talents, and cultivate lifelong friendships through a diverse range of extracurricular options. Whether in the classroom, on the court, or after school, LILA students can participate in a multitude of activities and programs that ignite interest and inspire connection.
Arts
The arts at LILA emphasize developing skills and technique while also fostering artistic appreciation through a culturally diverse lens. Students explore creativity through visual arts, music, and theater.
Athletics
Students stay active, build teamwork skills, and enjoy healthy competition through a variety of sports. Offerings include basketball, fencing, rugby, soccer, tennis, track & field, volleyball, flag football, and more.
Student Leadership & Clubs
With more than 40 student-led clubs, there’s a place for every interest at LILA, and every student has the opportunity to lead. From Model UN and Debate to Choir, Rock & Jazz Bands, and the Green Team, students create and manage clubs, set goals, recruit members, and organize events that bring the community together.
After-School Activities
Our after-school programs are designed to enrich, excite, and support holistic growth. Options range from art, pottery, and theater to taekwondo, table tennis, and gymnastics. Popular classes also include cooking and private music lessons (offered at select campuses).
